Postnatal Yoga focuses on bringing the body back to strength and alignment in a fun and nurturing environment. We begin the class with a short community check-in and then move into a moderately-paced yoga class that relieves shoulder and back pain, strengthens deep abdominal and pelvic muscles, and builds stamina and flexibility.
Feel free to bring your baby with you, as well as a baby blanket to rest the baby on. Be prepared to practice yoga, but also to take breaks to feed your baby or change a diaper. Anything goes in our postnatal classes! We have incredible helpers for each class called “baby bouncers” who are here solely to help hold babies who don’t want to be lying down, so you can get more of your yoga in. Our postnatal classes are appropriate for students with babies 6 weeks to pre-crawling.
