Rachel Stanton

Originally from New Jersey, I have lived in Vermont for the past 16 years and feel privileged to raise my family here! With a background in social services, I have always been passionate about supporting women and children. However, it wasn’t until after the birth of my first child that I began to focus my energy on supporting women through pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.

As a labor and postpartum doula I offer compassionate, intuitive, and evidence based support that is tailored to the individual woman’s needs. I treat each one of our mamas as I would my sister or best friend and am deeply honored to be invited into the lives of growing families in such a beautiful way.

I hold a BA in Human Services and Psychology, am a certified doula and childbirth educator through Birth Arts International, certified in MotherMassage ® for pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period, am a CAPPA trained lactation educator. I am currently enrolled in the Advanced Women’s Herbal and Aromatherapy course through Birth Arts International. In addition to my work at Evolution Prenatal & Family and at Birth Journeys, I work for the Vermont Department of Health as a WIC Peer Breastfeeding Counselor and am a Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT200). When I am not teaching classes or supporting women in or after their births, you can find me enjoying a regular yoga practice, spending time with my husband and two children, hiking, and baking.
